Diablo 2: Resurrected Beta Schedule May Have Been Leaked
Thanks to Microsoft Store website's inattentiveness, we probably learned Diablo II: Resurrected's beta launch date. Tests should start next week.
We may have just learned the beta test schedule of Diablo II: Resurrected, the revamped version of Blizzard Entertainment's classic hack'n'slash. Perceptive fans have found an information in Microsoft Store that beta tests will start on August 17.
This mention was quickly removed from the website, but the cat was out of the bag and a few people managed to take screenshots. Most likely someone was in a hurry and revealed the date earlier than expected. Of course, it could also be a simple mistake, but this kind of leaks from Microsoft Store usually turn out to be true.
This information matches what Blizzard Entertainment announced earlier about the testing. The devs informed that the beta will start in August this year. The tests will be open, but people with pre-orders will get access to them earlier than the rest of the community. We expect that August 17 is the day when players who pre-orderd the game will be able to start playing.
Recall that the playable classes in the beta will include amazon, barbarian, sorceress, druid and paladin. However, for the possibility to play as necromancer and assassin we'll have to wait until the full release.
Diablo II: Resurrected is also coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. The game will be released on September 23, this year.
