Dawnlands - Is There Controller Support
Dawnlands has been released on Steam as a Free to Play game. A PC and mobile version is available, but is there controller support? We explain it in this guide.

Dawnlands promises an Open-World Survival Crafting experience. It’s available on mobile and PC, and it can be enjoyed for free. Many players are wondering if the title offers controller support, as it is an option that the game’s main competitors have. Check out the answer below.
Dawnlands – Is There Controller Support
Dawlands entices the players with a massive, stunning open world that is free to explore, where puzzles and rich lore await discovery. Still, for many gamers, adventuring is much more convenient with a controller, also on PC. Is it possible in Dawnlands?
One of the mods on the official Discord of Dawnlands answered a question about the controller support for the game. According to them, controller support has been under discussion, but it is not officially implemented yet.
The answer lacked details, such as a possible time-frame for adding this highly-requested feature. It is likely to disappoint players, as lack of controller support and awkward movement has been one of the main complaints about the game. On the bright side, however, it seems the developers aren’t ruling out supporting gamepads in the future.
Dawnlands has been compared to popular titles such as Legend of Zelda or Genshin Impact based on it’s graphics, gameplay and atmosphere. While the latest instalment of the Legend of Zelda series is available only on the Nintendo Switch, it means it can be played with JoyCon controllers. Meanwhile Genshin Impact offers cross platform with mobile, PC, PS4 and PS5. According to players, it is better optimized, and it also offers controller support on PC and iOS. The Dawnlands team will probably listen to the players’ feedback and work on this feature to not lose to the competition.
