Latest update for Diablo 4 bearing the number 1.1.1 turned out to be quite a success - at least in the eyes of part of the gaming community.

After the patch went live, forums devoted to the latest Blizzard game were filled with posts praising the developers, who supposedly more than fixed the ills of the much-criticized patch 1.1.0.

More XP, more monsters, more items

The most praised change that update 1.1.1 brought to the game is the one regarding the increased density of monsters in the Nightmare Dungeon and Helltides.

"The difference is like night and day. I'm really amazed at how good it feels compared to the previous version of the game."

"The increased mob density really makes me enjoy going through Nightmare Dungeons these days."

Helltides in particular has benefited from the improvements., now becoming a bit more engaging, as one Reddit user noted.

"I can finally run around and kill things instead of jumping on a horse every 3 seconds."

For some, after the latest update, this activity has even become their favorite thing in Diablo 4.

"Helltides are now my favorite end-game activity and nothing even comes close to that. The new density of enemies now makes them hellishly fun."

More monsters means more experience, of course, and more items, which now fill up your inventory at a rapid pace.

"The frequency of item drops is amazing, grind before they nerf it."

"They have significantly increased experience gains. It used to take me 8 dungeons to advance to a higher level, now it's 3. I'm very happy about that. I hope they won't nerf it."

Noticeable buffs and faster horse

Patch 1.1.1 is also a noticeable enhancement of character classes, which at least in part diversified the gameplay in Diablo 4 and opened up new possibilities for character progression - which pleased a multitude of players.

The changes benefited significantly the sorceress, who can finally make greater use of fire and lightning spells.

"Well, the game has become more interesting after the update. I am currently at level 72, using a hybrid of ice and fire. (...) After the update, my death counter dropped almost to zero and I'm finding more sacred items. Thanks to the developers of Diablo 4 for buffing wizards."

"Level 83 Hydra / wall of fire / chain of lightning and I am thrilled with the update!!! Before, I never had mana. Now I barely go below half the pool. I feel that I am finally powerful, hurray!!!"

The power surge was also felt by characters relying on summons and minions, which pleased supporters who prefer this style of gameplay.

"My minions are much better. Monster density is miles better, making xp miles better. So far it's great."

"Many, many thanks to Blizzard for this update. Now I feel that my party members are not immediately destroyed by concussion lances and fiery explosions."

Diablo fans will be pleased also with smaller changes, such as increased mount speed on consoles and effects applied despite an active barrier.

Although patch 1.1.1 did not solve all of the game's ills (among others not the best endgame), the direction of changes taken by Blizzard definitely appealed to the game's community, which now looks forward with greater optimism to further development of the game.
