Diablo 4's 8th Season will bring back massive boss from Diablo 3. Blizzard plans to increase leveling up difficulty so only 10% of players reach top goals
Blizzard revealed the new features heading to Diablo 4 in the 8th season of the game. These are really quite a lot, and the main course is the most powerful boss in the game, well known to fans of the third installment.

We learned the details of the tests for the next update to Diablo 4. During the last "Campfire Chat" stream, information was provided about the Public Test Realm 2.2.0 (PTR 2.2), which was also described on the game's website. There are many changes, and the most satisfied should be players looking for a bigger challenge.
Diablo 4 more difficult
Diablo 4 is currently a game for Dad-gamers, which even the brand's head, Rod Fergusson, is aware of. The success of Path of Exile 2, however, showed that a large portion of players desire a greater challenge, and it seems that Blizzard intends to offer us just that, while still wanting Diablo IV to remain a more casual hack-and-slash game.
The team noticed that 50% of players reached level 4 in the last Season. Therefore, this level of torment will be made more difficult. The goal is for only 10% of the players to manage to climb that high in Season 8. Each torment will be rescaled, and the difficulty level of the last one will correspond to the 76th level in the Pit of Artificer from Season 7.
The enjoyment will also be affected by the decreased number of legendary items acquired, as Blizzard observed that these drop approximately every 3-4 minutes of game. In return, however, magical and rare items will be buffed - they will have a greater number of bonuses.
Return of the Lord of Lies
If you've played Diablo 3, you certainly remember Belial, the main boss of Act II. He returned to the fourth installment as the pinnacle boss. This will be the most powerful opponent we will have to face, standing above Duriel and Andariel as the ultimate challenge.
The Lord of Lies is not the only new boss that will appear in the game. Diablo 4 players will also face Urivar from the Vessel of Hatred campaign and the Mephisto Harbinger.
Furthermore, the bosses' keys will be reworked. After the new update, we will approach the challenge for free, and we will use the key to open the loot chest after defeating the enemy.
Seasonal novelties
All the aforementioned changes will be permanently added to Diablo 4. Now let's move on to the new features that will remain in the game only until the end of the 8th Season.
The new activity will be Apparition Incursions, which are boss-rush style events that will randomly appear on the map during gameplay. After activating it, we will have to defeat all opponents within a certain time, including two bosses from a pool of ten. After completing the quest, a smaller form of Belial will appear, which - unsurprisingly - also needs to be killed.
The second novelty is the bosses' powers, which are nothing more than new skills that will further strengthen our builds. We will get them by defeating specific bosses in the game world, and each of them consists of two parts - the main part and modifiers. Players will be able to activate one main ability and customize it to their needs using three modifiers.
Besides all the mentioned novelties, there will also be balancing changes in the gameplay. If you are interested in numbers, I refer you to the article on the game's website.
Diablo 4's PTR 2.2 will start on March 11 and last exactly one week, until March 18.
