Cyberpunk shooter Ruiner launches today
While you're waiting for Cyberpunk 2077, you may want to try out another cyberpunk-themed game from Poland. The brutal shooter Ruiner is launching today on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Poland is apparently going cyberpunk these days, at least when it comes to video games. Last month we got a cyberpunk thriller Observer from Polish studio Bloober Team (creators of Layers of Fear) and we are eagerly waiting for even the tiniest piece of information on CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077.
In the meantime, we can lay our hands on yet another title: Ruiner, a brutal top-down shooter from Warsaw-based independent developer Reikon Games, launching today. Ruiner is already available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, and is going live on Steam and GOG in just several hours, at 7:00 AM PDT/3:00 PM BST.
Ruiner puts you in the shoes of a wired psychopath, who sets out on a personal vendetta against a corrupt corporation in a grim, cyberpunk city, while guided by a mysterious hacker. The game features violent, difficult combat mechanics, combining brute force with precision, which lets you make use of an arsenal of original firearms and melee weapons.
