Upcoming Phantom Liberty DLC will introduce to Cyberpunk 2077 a new ending - this was admitted by Ola Sondej, responsible for PR at CD Projekt RED. However, fans who think it will involve V and Johnny Silverhand need to cool their enthusiasm.

The Gamer recently conducted a short interview with Sondej, in which several interesting aspects were raised. Among other things, we learned that:

  1. the marketing campaign of the DLC is shorter than for Cyberpunk 2077;
  2. the Polish studio is taking a more cautious approach to hyping up the DLC;
  3. CDPR wants to avoid a repeat of the disappointing launch of Cyberpunk 2077;
  4. Phantom Liberty will be the only expansion for the game (this is, of course, a confirmation of what we already know, not new information).

In addition to this information, The Gamer's journalists managed to find out one more important thing - a new ending will be introduced. When this information was revealed, Sondej immediately pointed out that it does not involve V and Johnny. Their story will not be addressed at all - unless in the upcoming sequel.

Recall that CDPR intends to conduct an event called Phantom Tour, during which it will advertise the DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 in various cities around the world. As part of it, players will be given the opportunity to check out the DLC in question. Fans from Poland will be the first to get such a chance.

The long-awaited expansion will debut on September 26 and will be available only on PC and the latest generation of consoles - PS5 and XSX/S.
