Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.1 Introduces a Serious Bug [UPDATED]
Reddit users oint out that the latest update for Cyberpunk 2077 has „enriched” the game with several new bugs, including one that is quite serious.
Update:
CD Projekt RED has announced that they are working to fix the issue with bugged conversation with Takemura in Down on the Street quest. The hotfix will be released as soon as possible.
Original message:
IN A NUTSHELL:
- Patch 1.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 apparently introduced a few new bugs;
- The most serious one concerns the conversation with Takemura and cannot be bypassed by loading the save (fortunately some players report that there is another solution).
Cyberpunk 2077 players complain that the long-awaited patch 1.1, released a few days ago and supposed to fix a number of significant problems, introduced... more bugs. The most serious of these concerns the conversation with Takemura, who previously in some cases did not call V at all. As things are now, yes, he does call, but doesn't say a word.
What's worse, it seems that in some cases the error cannot be eliminated by the usual method - loading the last save, or saving the game in a new file and then loading it. Users report that there is a way to bypass the bug, but it's a bit more complicated. Right before Takemura's phone call, we need to call Judy and wait. After a while, the bugged conversation with Takemura should also turn on, which will take place parallel to our conversation with the girl. We can end both of them by breaking the connection with Judy. Then we have to take care of some side quest (set it as active in the diary) and wait 24 hours. Takemura should then call again and talk to us as he should have the first time.
Users on Reddit point out quite a few other, smaller issues appeared with patch 1.1, though it's hard to tell how many of them were actually caused by the update and how many are lingering glitches and bugs that the developers have so far failed to address in subsequent patches. One of the more amusing examples is the new way of calling a car (you can easily tell that it was dropped from orbit). There are also reports of crashes and, as it happens in similar situations, funny memes.
