Can you get more inventory slots in your backpack in Atomfall? Well, it’s not ideal, but there is a way to work around it
Here’s everything you need to know about your backpack’s capacity in Atomfall. We’ve also got some tips on how to handle the small inventory system.

Atomfall has been getting mixed reviews from critics, but early access players seem to be enjoying it a lot more. Right now, it’s sitting at a Very Positive rating on Steam. Like any game, it has its highs and lows – one issue that keeps coming up is the limited backpack space, which can be pretty aggravating. So, let’s see if there’s a way to upgrade it and carry more stuff.
No bigger backpack in Atomfall? Here’s how to make it work
The devs at Rebellion, best known for the Sniper Elite series, are definitely experimenting with Atomfall. Some of their ideas could work, but others just feel unnecessary – or straight-up frustrating. And one major issue is the small inventory in a game with crafting mechanics. That’s a recipe for trouble and it looks like Atomfall players will feel the struggle. Because if you’re wondering whether you can increase your backpack’s capacity, the answer is simple: no. But, there’s some good news too.
You don’t have to carry everything with you since the game provides Pneumatic Dispatch Tubes for storage, holding up to 100 items. You’ll find these tubes in various locations, mostly bunkers, with Intercharge as the most important place of them all. Luckily, they’re all linked. Whatever you stash in one can be accessed from any other.
One thing’s for sure – some of us won’t be too happy about this. We’re always on the hunt for a bigger backpack or more inventory slots, but it seems like this is just the way the devs designed the game. On the bright side, you can expand your ammo and crafting supply limits through skills, so at least there’s that. And let’s be real, mods for more carrying capacity are probably just around the corner.
