BeamNG.drive With Big Update
Update numbered 0.25 has just been released for BeamNG.drive, which not only introduces fixes, but also adds a new car and plenty of missions, and refreshes the garage. Let's see what's new.
- BeamNG.drive has received update 0.25.
- The update introduces, among other things, a new car, changes in missions, garage and traffic.
BeamNG.drive is a sandbox car driving simulator that offers an incredible destruction model, with GTA V or Burnout Paradise looking like a joke in comparison. Every crash looks like a crash test video - a real showstopper. Add to that a realistic driving model, cool open maps, full mod support, and on-going development. The game is still in early access, but some people already think BeamNG.drive as THE racing game.
BeamNG.drive with update 0.25
First, the update gives us the opportunity to drive a new car. The Civetta Scintilla is a modern supercar with a V10 engine and a unique destruction model. By the way, a new door opening system is being tested and all comments are welcomed by the developers. You can read more about Scintilla in a specially prepared brochure. The developers have worked very hard on the design of this car, so it will be fun to smash it to bits..
Secondly, garage mode returns in a refreshed form - with an improved interface and options. There are new camera settings, improved mechanical and visual tuning menus, and even an option to enable the car's electronics.
Third, almost 100 missions have been added to the game, as well as new types of tasks, and the devs re-modeled the campaign so that it is not so linear. They have also introduced leaderboards for each mission, where we can find detailed statistics such as distance covered and time achieved.
The patch also fixes several bugs, including bus stops in Bus Mode, completelly re-modelled traffic management system, improved police AI, and even improved road and terrain textures on most maps (with the exception of Italy, West Coast and Automation, which will be patched later). The full list of changes in patch 0.25 is available here.
