Battlefield 2042 alienated its players with a number of ill-conceived solutions, and the lack of a single-player campaign was probably one of the game's biggest problems. After all, the series has never been known for its exceptional single-player experiences, but rather for its thrilling online mode.
However, it seems that EA intends to fix at least this small mistake. Thanks to a job offer posted online, we already know that the next installment of the series will have a full-fledged campaign.
The plot returns to Battlefield
The source of the above information is an advertisement posted by Battlefield Seattle. It is a team founded by Marcus Lehto (one of the creators of Halo), which was supposed to focus on expanding the Battlefield universe and creating scenarios, which would later be included in the next installments of the series.
Currently, the studio is looking for a person who will take the position of Design Director. This employee will be responsible for designing the new campaign for the next Battlefield. This means developing narrative and construction of individual missions and devising new mechanics.
In doing so, the Seattle-based studio is looking for an industry veteran who can boast at least 10 years of experience and is familiar with creating single-player experiences.
So it seems that the company takes its task very seriously. Let's hope that this translates into the quality of the final product. However, we will not find out about it too soon.
According to leaks DICE is already working on Battlefield 7 but the game is still in pre-production. There is nothing surprising in this, by the way. The studio is still busy developing Battlefield 2042, which debuted on the market just six months ago. So it remains for us to wait patiently.
