A large set of reliable reports about the next installment of the Battlefield series hit the Internet. They cover such topics as the setting, the campaign, the destruction system, and the number of maps and weapons.
The last few days have proven to be very fruitful for players eagerly awaiting the next installment in the Battlefield series. First, we got to know the specifics, including the realities and the maximum number of players on the maps. Yesterday the planned tests were announced. Now we are sharing a few new pieces of information with you. Their source is Tom Henderson from Insider-Gaming, who has a very good reputation, especially when it comes to this series.
Fans deduced that the first art depicts Gibraltar, but that's just one of the many locations we'll encounter in the game. According to Henderson, part of the action will take place in the USA. A tropical location in the United States is also supposed to be the location of battles in battle royale mode.
- The game will take place sometime between 2027 and 2030, and the campaign will tell the story of a conflict between a powerful private military company and NATO.
- The game will launch with 45 different types of weapons, which is twice the number compared to BF2042.
- The developers are also aiming for ten multiplayer maps, which is equivalent to what Battlefield 1 , BF3, and BF4 offered.
- We are also going to get a much improved environmental destruction system. Following the example of Rainbow Six: Siege, destruction will depend on the caliber of the bullets.
- Changes are also expected for the moveset. It should be possible, for instance, to carry injured companions.
So far, the devs have not decided what the game will be titled. Thanks to the data obtained from numerous surveys, the developers have identified two favorites: Battlefield 6 or simply Battlefield. This shows that DICE wants to put the failed BF2042 behind them.
