Battlefield 7 Test Dates Revealed Along with Its Setting
EA revealed when testing of the next installment of the Battlefield series is scheduled. Meanwhile, fans, thanks to the first concept art, discovered where the game's action will take place.
Yesterday we learned some specifics about Battlefield 7. Now we know when we can expect game tests.
- Large-scale tests for Battlefield 7 are scheduled to take place at the beginning of next year, as announced by Byron Beede from Electronic Arts during an investor presentation.
- Byron Beede also revealed that developers and selected testers have been playing with early versions of BF7 for a year now.
- The issue of the involvement of individual studios was also raised, as in the case of Battlefield 7, where as many as four studios are involved. DICE is primarily responsible for the multiplayer, while EA Motive is handling the single-player for the Dead Space remake. Criterion creates content for both modes. Ripple Effect, on the other hand, creates a "new experience" that is very well received by testers.
- So far, only the first concept art has been released. Fans quickly deduced that it showed Gibraltar. Insider Tom Henderson, who has a very positive opinion of the series, confirmed their speculations.
Battlefield 7 is set to return to the modern times, as we learned yesterday. A maximum of 64 players will be able to play on the maps simultaneously. The specialists known from BF2042 will be dropped and the good old classes will return.
The devs' goal is to return to the style of Battlefield 3 and BF4. The developers themselves acknowledge that these two titles marked the series' golden era, so they are striving to revive the essence of the brand from that time while also modernizing various elements.
