Larian Studios has been postponing the release of Baldur's Gate III for Xbox Series X and S from November to December, as it needed time with its "fine-tuning." The specific date was supposed to be announced at The Game Awards 2023 gala.

However, the Belgians gave us quite a surprise and instead of announcing the game's release date, they just released the entire thing. The game is available on the MS Store priced at $80.

It is worth adding that the latest masterpiece from Larian garnered a number of statuettes at the gala – including the GOTY 2023 award. The list of awarded titles can be found here.

As a reminder, let me add that the physical edition of Baldur's Gate III was released in the first quarter of 2024. It will be available on PC, PS5 and XSX/S. In addition to the game disc, this release will include a number of collector's items, boxed in a stylish pack inspired by the original box of Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II. Details can be found in a separate news.

Finally, let's mention that the third installment recently received major patch number 5. Of course, it is available on all platforms. News and changes that were introduced in this update are listed here.
