Just two days after the release of the fifth hotfix to Baldur's Gate III, Larian Studios released the next one. It's not the smallest update to date, but it's not much short of that. "Weighing" a whole 37.1 MB (on Steam), the patch introduces in fact only three changes:

  1. fixes a bug that sometimes made it impossible to start a new dialogue;
  2. makes all tutorial messages appear at the right moments when playing with a controller;
  3. removes visual artifacts that were sometimes displayed during conversations held in the Underdark.

At this point, we don't know what are Larian Studios' future plans regarding the fine-tuning of Baldur's Gate III. Certainly, the Belgians will listen to player requests and improve the romance threads of some companions, as they did with Karlach (in patch 2) and with Minthara (in the aforementioned hotfix 5). However, it is difficult to say when this will happen.

The update in question is available both on PC - on Steam and GOG - and on PS5. It is worth adding that the console version of Baldur's Gate III shared the fate of PC edition and was appreciated by players. By the end of November 2023, the work of Larian Studios is also expected to be released on XSX/S.
