Back 4 Blood Pre-orders Went Big on Steam; Grounded Reaches Top 10

Last week brought a big reshuffle in the list of the best selling games on Steam. New World, which has been on top lately, dropped significantly, and its place was taken by the upcoming shooter Back 4 Blood. Grounded from Obsidian Entertainment also made it to the top.

Another week, another bestseller list on Steam. This time there were some interesting reshuffles. Suffice it to say that two versions of New World (Deluxe and standard), which were the most popular in the last two weeks, dropped to the seventh and eighth spot respectively. It seems that due to the delayed release of Amazon Games' title, players refrained from buying it. The place of the MMORPG on the sales top list was taken by another unreleased title, namely the co-op FPS Back 4 Blood from the creators of Left 4 Dead, whose beta tests began last Thursday. The survival game Grounded from Obsidian Entertainment is also on the list - the title was available to try out in early access for free last week, and it looks like a lot of people liked it so much that they decided to buy it. You can check out the full list of last week's best-selling games on Steam below.

The cyberpunk game The Ascent and the Nordic-themed Tribes of Midgard are still selling well (second and third place, respectively). Due to the ongoing sales on Valve's platform, also the relatively new It Takes Two (rank #6) and Call of Duty: Black Ops III (#10 on the list) recorded increased sales, the latter being played by almost 8,000 people at the same time in the last 24 hours. Not bad.

The presence of GTA 5 among Steam bestsellers doesn't seem to come as a surprise to anyone (just like the constant revenue it provides for Rockstar). The same goes for Valve Index VR headset, which was the fourth best-selling product on the platform last week. In conclusion, it can be said that the slogan "No pre-orders" is not as popular as it should be, and promotions are there to be used. However, we are pleased with the success of The Ascent, which is available in the Xbox Games Pass service (now in revised version), it still sells like hot cakes.
