Back 4 Blood Open Beta Coming Soon; Details Revealed
Turtle Rock announced the next batch of tests of Back 4 Blood. Their part will be a serveral days-long open beta.
- Closed testing for pre-order owners: August 5-9, 2021,
- Open beta: August 12-15, 2021.
We go to know more details about the next beta test of Back 4 Blood, a co-op shooter by the creators of Left 4 Dead. The event will be divided into two phases. The first one will include people with pre-orders. The tests will start on August 5 at noon PST and will end four days later. On the official website you can also sign up for this phase without pre-ordering the game, but this does not guarantee access - only some of the registered people will receive invitations.
The second phase of testing will take the form of an open beta, which will start on August 12 (also at noon) and will last until August 16. In both phases, the game will be available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
During the beta testing we will be able to check out two maps from the PvE co-op campaign. There will be the same number of levels from the PvP mode called Swarm. We'll be able to control five human characters (out of eight that we'll find in the full version) and six types of zombies (Bruiser, Retch, Hocker, Exploder, Crusher and Stinger). All weapons and items will be at our disposal. There will also be an opportunity to check out Fort Hope, which is a location in the game that serves as a hub for players.
What's important, the beta will offer the cross-play option, which enables the owners of different hardware platforms to play together.
The full version of the game will debut on October 12, this year. Back 4 Blood will be available in Game Pass from day one, both on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles, as well as on Windows 10 PCs.
