Offline Mode Coming to Back 4 Blood; Devs Revealed Roadmap
Devs at Turtle Rock revealed the development roadmap for Back 4 Blood. Among other things, the game will receive an offline mode and a new co-op variant.
It will soon be a month since the release of Back 4 Blood. Devs at Turtle Rock decided that it was high time to reveal the development roadmap for the game, including both updates and paid DLCs. These announcements include quite a few elements that players have been asking for, including the ability to play offline.
Upcoming free updates in Back 4 Blood
- November 2021: bug fixes and general improvement;
- December 2021: offline mode, new supply lines, training zone, holiday event, additional cards;
- 2022: new difficulty level, additional co-op mode, more cards, and improved melee combat system.
This month, the devs will focus on improving the game and fixing bugs. In December we will receive new supply lines, a training zone and a Christmas event. There will also be previously unavailable cards, some of which will belong to a completely new type.
Towards the end of the year, we can also expect the ability to play offline with full campaign progression. This new feature will please many players. Currently, solo play requires an internet connection, and to make matters worse, progress is not saved during such games.
In turn, next year's updates will introduce a new difficulty level to the game, additional cards and another co-op mode. We can also expect further improvements in gameplay, including the reconstruction of the melee combat system.
Paid DLCs
As for paid attractions, three big DLCs are planned for next year. The first of them is titled Tunnels of Terror. Those who buy the season pass can also expect new characters, enemies, weapons, activities, cards and unique skins.
Back 4 Blood debuted on October 12 this year. The game was released simultaneously on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. On PC, XONE and XSX the game is also available as part of the Game Pass subscription.
