Assetto Corsa EVO was finally released in early access. It looks like it is not the best start, though. There are some network issues which restrict number of cars. However, developers are working on the fix already. So, everything is in order, yes? Sadly, no. There is much “bugger” problem (sorry for this pun), many players can’t even start the game.

Players can’t launch Assetto Corsa EVO

Well, it seems that Assetto Corsa EVO is racing against a great problem right now. On Steam forum we can find many threads with players who can’t start the game. The biggest of them has 110 comments and its growing.

As of now, players did not find the universal way to battle this issue. Some of them report that it might be due to the antivirus reporting the game as a false positive. However, other fans respond that it is not the issue in their case. Some suggest unplugging the additional devices (controllers for example) beside the one you are using to play the game. Right now, it is difficult to pinpoint one culprit.

It seems that the best course of action is to wait for developers to release a hotfix. Taking into consideration the scale of the issue, it should be resolved or at least addressed quickly. Keep an eye on Steam discussions, as it seems that developers are at least posting news on it.

Many players are not pleased with the game, which is visible in mixed reviews on Steam. We wouldn’t be surprised if the technical issues were a major factor in such a low score. At this point we need to be patient and hope that everything will be fixed soon.
