Assetto Corsa Evo

Assetto Corsa Evo (also called Assetto Corsa 2) is a continuation of the simulation racing game from 2014 and the third installment of the series created by the Kunos Simulazioni studio. The previous title in the series was Assetto Corsa Competizione released in 2019 which was a kind of spin-off. The company 505 Games is responsible for publishing Assetto Corsa Evo.

Gameplay

The series stands out from the competition with its emphasis on faithful driving simulation using data collected from real cars (although with the possibility of enabling assists for less experienced players). In AC Evo the creators set themselves the goal of taking realism to a new level, both in terms of vehicle behavior and changing conditions on the race track (like weather or asphalt temperature).

The game offers a wide range of licensed racing and road cars (of various eras) and even concept cars from manufacturers such as Alfa Romeo, Alpine, Hyundai, Lamborghini and Porsche.

Engine

Unlike AC Competizione, which was powered by Unreal Engine, Assetto Corsa Evo runs on the original engine of the Kunos Simulazioni studio (just like the first game). The game supports virtual reality goggles.

Mods

For now, support for mods in AC Evo has not been officially confirmed. However, it is hard to imagine that it would be missing, since it is this element that the original Assetto Corsa owes its great popularity and longevity.
