Assassin's Creed Jade Reportedly Delayed. Reuters Reports New Release Window
According to the latest reports, Assassin's Creed: Jade won't be released until 2025. Delaying the release of the mobile title was supposed to be caused by the decision of the Chinese corporation Tencent.
Even though Ubisoft hasn't yet announced the release date for Assassin's Creed: Jade, many fans of mobile games were hoping that the game would see the light of day this year. However, it turns out that it doesn't.
According to information obtained by Reuters journalists, the premiere of the title for Android and iOS devices has been postponed. The game is expected to hit the market in 2025.
Editorial sources report that the decision isn't made by Ubisoft, but by Tencent Corporation, which oversees this title from the Assassin's Creed series. Last year, the Chinese giant allegedly transferred hundreds of people working on AC: Jade to the team developing the mobile party game DreamStar.
As of writing this news, Ubisoft hasn't yet made any statement on the issue.
For those who haven't been following the news about Assassin's Creed Jade, let us remind you that the announced game for 2022 will take us to ancient China and offer a large open world to explore. Players will assume the role of a member of a group of assassins battling a secret organization attempting to establish its dominance in China.
Last year, developers had to deal with the leak of a gameplay recording from AC: Jade, which was probably shared by one of the game's testers. Soon after, Ubisoft arranged closed beta testing for the title. Searching the internet for any recent information about the game has been futile since then.
