'Italian' Soulslike, Dodging Elden Ring Expansion, Announces New Release Date
We have learned the new release date for the soulslike Enotria: The Last Song. The devs have released a gameplay trailer and announced an upcoming demo.
As previously announced by the devs from Jyamma Games studio, during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2024, a new release date for their upcoming game was presented. Enotria: The Last Song will be released on August 21, 2024 on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) and PlayStation 5.
The developers decided that the title will be released on Xbox Series X/S consoles at a later time. This will enable them to deliver the game in optimal condition on PS5 and PC.
At the same time, a new trailer with gameplay fragments was released (below). The rather slow, typical for the soulslike subgenre, clashes with powerful-looking opponents suggest that Enotria: The Last Song draws inspiration not only from the Dark Souls series, but also from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. We observe that parrying attacks will be crucial, just like in that popular game set in Japan from the FromSoftware studio.
It's worth mentioning that a demo version of Enotria: The Last Song will soon be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation Store. We are uncertain about the exact timing of this event, so you should be on the lookout for communications from the devs.
Let's remind that originally, the soulslike game from Jyamma Games studio was supposed to be released on June 21. Unfortunately, this coincided with the release date of FromSoftware's award-winning Elden Ring expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree. Therefore, the developers were forced to postpone the release of Enotria because, as they admitted, releasing the game on the original date "would be suicide."
The CEO of Jyamma Games, Giacomo Greco, is proud of the work his team of only 60 people has done so far. Enotria: The Last Song promises to be an ambitious game inspired by Italian folklore, featuring three main regions, 30 masks (responsible for game styles), a variety of builds, and alternative realities.
