We finally got to know the recommended system requirements for Age of Empires 4, the next installment of the popular historical RTS series.

Microsoft updated Age of Empires IV tab on Steam, adding recommended system requirements for the game. Previously, only the minimum specs were available, so we finally learned what configuration will be needed to squeeze from the game everything that it offers.

Age of Empires 4 PC - minimum system requirements

  1. Processor: Intel Core i5-6300U
  2. RAM: 8 GB
  3. Graphics Card: Intel HD 520
  4. DirectX: 12
  5. Disk space: 50 GB

As you can see, the requirements are not high by modern standards. It makes sense, because the developers are expect to attract the crowds that are currently playing Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition (yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, the title was played on Steam by nearly 19 thousand people).

Age of Empires IV is coming exclusively to PC and will be released on October 28, this year. The game received the award for best strategy game at gamescom 2021, so the expectations are very high.

Finally, it's worth mentioning that in connection with the upcoming launch, Microsoft has shared a new package on Steam, called Age of Empires Anthology, which in addition to the upcoming AoE4 also includes Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition including all expansions except United States Civilization for AoE3. The set can currently be purchased with a 15% discount.
