We've known for several months that Starfield would only be coming to PC and Xbox Series S/X on its release date. Fans of Bethesda games who use Sony consoles, however, hoped that the game's exclusivity will be temporary. Those hopes were dashed by Aaron Greenberg, head of Xbox marketing, who addressed the issue in a Twitter post.
Greenberg made it clear that Starfield will be available only on PC and Xbox Series S/X. PlayStation 5 owners must accept the fact that they will miss out on another Bethesda title. This will most likely ignite their anger, but the decision is final. Todd Howard can start preparing to fend off further accusations of having abandoned the platform. As we all know, Bethesda has had to explain its choices for quite some time now.
Starfield will debut on Microsoft platforms on November 11, 2022. On the same day, the game will hit the Xbox Game Pass offer.
