Diablo 4, Starfield and Elden Ring on Switch 2? More than just Microsoft exclusives are to be released on Nintendo's new console
Starfield and Diablo 4 are expected to be among the many Microsoft titles coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Elden Ring is also among the potential port candidates.
Update (January 21)
The next game that is supposed to hit Switch 2 is Elden Ring. The source of this unofficial information is also the Spanish informant eXtas1s (via GoNintendo).
Original news (January 20)
Starfield and Fallout 4 may be released on Nintendo Switch 2. This is claimed by the Spanish insider eXtas1s, who in a new video on his YouTube channel listed both Bethesda RPGs among the titles that are to hit the new Nintendo console (via Insider Gaming).
The online user listed a total of 6 titles intended for Switch 2. In addition to the two games mentioned above, these are Diablo 4, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and some installment of the Call of Duty series (as a reminder: Microsoft has committed to providing a 10-year guarantee for the release of CoD on Nintendo consoles).
The fact that Microsoft can release its exclusive titles on other consoles shouldn't be surprising. The company has long supported playing "anywhere," which includes any platform. Grounded and Sea of Thieves have hit Sony consoles, among others, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set to be released soon on PlayStation 5.
Still, bringing up MSFS 2024 might be surprising, as it has been a challenging title for PCs, not to mention for a console, which definitely won't overwhelm PS5 and XSX/S. However, this isn't the first info on this subject. YouTuber Nate the Hate shared similar news, also mentioning plans to release some of Microsoft's current exclusive titles.
If the insiders' reports are consistent with the truth, they may soon be confirmed. The giant from Redmond has already announced, for instance, the next edition of the Xbox Developer_Direct show. Unless the company waits for the official presentation of Switch 2, which is scheduled for April 2nd.
