16-frag Pistol Combo in PUBG Thanks to New Patch

The recently introduced update for PUBG may have added few, but significant novelties, such as improved system of shooting from vehicles and option to shoot from behind the wheel. This mechanic was already put to good use by the players.

The mechanic of shooting while driving, introduced to PUBG in patch 9.2, and the recently added crossbike enabled one of the gamers to score large killstreak in the form of 16 frags and take the first place in the battle royal match using only a pistol. User awmaLLama boasted of his feat on Reddit.

16 Kill Win With Just a P1911 from r/PUBATTLEGROUNDS

Despite repeatedly brushing against death and risky stunts, the player used his luck and skills to successfully achieve victory through the yet unbalanced game mechanics. Equipped only with a P1911 pistol, he surprises his opponents by appearing on the battlefield behind the wheel of a new dirt bike and other in-game vehicles. Some of the frames presented in the 3-minute video look like they were pulled out of an action movie. The shootouts do not last long, only a few accurate shots enable awmaLLamie to emerge victorious from the clash.

Unbalanced new mechanics and criticism

Despite the impressive show of skill, awmaLama's video divided fans of the game. One of the groups strongly claimed that the weapon he used is at most average and even with all the add-ons it's simply useless, which is argued by the frequent presence of the P1911 on the map. There were also accusations that the author fights bots and not live players who are the real challenge. Again, others consider the feats of today's hero to be quite unique, and his skills are polished. This difference of opinion led to a discussion in the comments.

However, there are also those who emphasize that the newly introduced patch massively reduces the recoil of sidearms while using them in the vehicle and increases the damage to some of the guns, which gave awmaLama an advantage. The damage multiplier has also been increased depending on the hit on a particular body part. Lack of balance when firing from the vehicle is not only important for guns, but also for long weapons - also for them the recoil was reduced. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about the unjust mechanics except wait for the devs to fix it. Until then, we will have to deal with it or use it ourselves while we have the opportunity.
