Artyom does not give up and is still looking for evidence that there is a chance for a normal life on the surface, outside the underground. The next section of the Metro Exodus guide discusses his journey to the city with Anna.

After talking to the woman, you will be informed that it is time to change the filter in the gas mask. Do it and then follow Anna. Go down and squeeze through the next narrow passages. After a while, you will reach the big hall, where beasts will attack you. Kill them!

All you have to do is follow your companion, and after a while, you will go outside. Soon, you will see a horde of mutants, hide behind the vehicle and wait out the whole situation. When it's all over, follow Anna and help her get higher.

Soon you will enter the car, thinking that it's your companions - nothing more wrong! Artyom and Anna will be stunned and captured. After the cut-scenes, the main character will be shot and will continue the next stage without Anna.

When you reach the bottom, crawl and go under a log. You'll find a first-aid kit - replenish your HP and walk further down the ravine. After some time, you will reach the manhole - go inside and go further. Inside, exit the room, turn left and walk through the tunnel.
