1. It should take you about 20 hours to complete the main story in Mass Effect. We can assume this value if you have chosen the normal difficulty level. If you have decided to choose a higher difficulty level, you may find it much more difficult to win some battles. As a result, you may need to spend more time in order to preparing for particular fights or even repeat them if you fail.
2. Taking care of side missions or quests also may increase the game time to about 30 hours. In the game there are minor and major missions. Some of them can be time-consuming, for example, due to the need of visiting another planetary system or explore the planet's surface.
3. It should take you about 40-50 hours to complete Mass Effect in 100%. The valuer of 100% means completing all quests and exploring all clusters and planetary systems. This will allow you to discover all of the hidden collectibles and explore the surface of all the planets you can land on.
4. You should complete Mass Effect twice in order to choose dialogue options related to the Paragon and Renegade paths. The differences between these paths are not that significant, but you will be able to notice some unique scenes. In addition, at several points of the main campaign you will be faced with important choices that may, for example, lead to death or survival of a specific character.
