Securing Regions in Just Cause 4 Just Cause 4 Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 12 December 2018
Capturing locations, or securing regions in Just Cause 4, is a vital element of the gameplay. With it, you're able to weaken enemy forces and take over another area - and that brings with it more quest and other activities. In this section, you will learn how to take over regions and secure locations in Just Cause 4.
How to secure regions?
You secure regions with just a few clicks on the map, but before that, you have to meet the required conditions. When you hover over the name of a given region, you will see the requirements - theses boil down to performing tasks in the category of Region Strike or taking over adjacent regions. A Region Strike is a simple mission, where you have to save captives or destroy enemy outpost. Once you have met the requirements of a given region, you still need to have a sufficient number of Squad Reserves - you will see the required amount under the name of the region. If you have enough Squad Reserves, just click on the name of the region and confirm the assault - from now on the region belongs to you and you will meet your guerrillas there.
In short, the whole process can be presented as follows:
- Fulfil the requirements of the region, i.e. perform a task with Regional Strikes or take over nearby regions.
- Send the reserves to the region.
Once you've taken over the region, you'll be able to carry out activities there to unlock new weapons and vehicles, as well as discover new fast-travel points. The most important thing, however, is to be able to carry out the quests of the main thread.
How to gain Squad Reserves?
Squad Reserves are acquired primarily by destroying enemy buildings and spreading destruction in general, but you can find out more about it on the "How to acquire Squad Reserves?" section of our guide.
