The Frost Gate

The Frost Gate was built by the Deldimor Dwarves as a way to protect their homes from invaders coming through Borlis Pass. When civil war broke out, the gate fell into the hands of the Stone Summit, a xenophobic group of Dwarven renegades who are trying to overthrow King Jalis Ironhammer. Now, no one gets through the pass unless the Summit allows it.

You can enter this map by selecting ""Enter Mission"" in The Frost Gate location.

Mission: Open the Frost Gate. Destroy the ballistae to secure safe passage for Rurik and the Ascalon refugees. Retrieve the Gear Lever from the Dwarven fort to open the Frost Gate. ADDED: Use the Gear Lever on the Lever Mechanism to reach the Frost Gate. ADDED: Activate the three Frost Gate Lever Mechanisms before the Stone Summit overwhelms Rurik. Reward: 100 xp, 1 Skill Point.

*BONUS* Steal the Stone Summit's secret plans for a powerful siege weapon. Reward: 1000 xp.

After complete this Mission you gain access to Beacon's Perch location.

Gate will opens when you destroy ballistae. Be prepared for attackers from the other side of the gate.

Gate will open when you destroy ballistae at location 04

*BONUS* Steal the Stone Summit's secret plans for a powerful siege weapon.

NOTE: The plans can be found outside the cave, on the path to the left of the gate on the other side of the bridge. They are heavily guarded.

06 Gate

Gate leads to siege weapon secret plans for Bonus. Gate can be destroyed by ballistae at 07.

07 Ballista

Ballista facing east. Use Firing Lever to destroy Gate at 06 leading to siege weapon secret plans.

08 Chest

Secret Siege Weapon Plan (for Bonus Quest) - You need to return them to Ronark Stonesledge.

09 Gate

NOTE: Gate is guarded by two ballistae.

10 Lever Mechanism

Gear Lever (Quest Item)

NOTE: There is only one Gear Lever to activate all mechanisms.

11 Lever Mechanisms

After activate all three mechanisms Frost Gate is open and you are retreating to Beacon's Perch location.
