A sandbox strategy game developed by the independent studio 4gency, in which we are given a major task of saving humanity by building a functioning space station. Habitat’s story is set in the distant future, where humanity is looking for a new place to live after the Earth was left in ruins. Players have to build a base that can act as a shelter for the millions of Earth’s inhabitants and take care of their needs and safety.

A tactical RPG with turn-based combat set in the popular universe of Warhammer. The game is a debut project of the Canadian studio Rogue Factor, founded by veterans of the video game industry. This title is based on a classic tabletop battle game Mordheim, which, in contrast to most of the games set in this universe, did not feature grand battles but small clashes of individual units. The game is set 500 years before the Warhammer’s main story, in the titular Mordheim City.

An independent strategy game developed by Iridium Studios. There Came an Echo offers a unique control scheme that enables us to control the heroes through voice or motion. The plot takes place in the near future, and tells a story of a group of characters that attempt to discover the truth behind a state-of-the-art data encryption algorithm and survive the encounter with a sinister conspiracy group.

A multiplayer-oriented turn-based battle strategy game developed by Counterplay Games, led by Keith Lee - an experienced game maker. The story is set in a fantasy world comprising of various mythological influences as well as original concepts of the creators. A great war between five powerful countries lies at the core of the game. The players are thrown in the midst of this conflict and have to pick a side.

Funded partially by a Kickstarter campaign, Armello is a game by independent Australian artists and developers from League of Geeks studio. Armello is set in a fairytale-like fantasy world populated by anthropomorphic animals. There are four clans striving to take away the power from the corrupted king. Gameplay centers on exploration, accomplishing missions, and combat.

A survival strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic reality. The game was created as a result of cooperation between the independent studio, Unicube, and Team 17, the company famous for the Worms series. The player becomes a leader of a group of survivors hiding in a gloomy underground shelter after a nuclear catastrophe. The game begins when the first bombs are about to fall. We have a limited amount of time to gather supplies for the first weeks of living underground.

A tower defense game featuring a gothic/steampunk setting. Deathtrap was developed by Neocore Games, the studio known for such titles as King Arthur or The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. The game’s story focuses on battling all sorts of monsters that are trying to invade the real world. The last obstacle on their way is you and your fortress. Consistently with the rules of the genre, gameplay is primarily about building various guard towers that work in many different ways.

Another game by independent Swedish studio Image & Form, set in the universe of SteamWorld, which combines elements of Steampunk and Western genres. The game is set in the distant future, where a powerful cataclysm forced the remaining inhabitants to flee into space on steam space ships. The player becomes a captain of a group of robo-pirates who are trying to survive in this post-apocalyptic reality by raiding and plundering enemy bases and ships.

A post-apocalyptic survival strategy game with RPG elements, created by Polish developer Robot Gentleman Studios. You play as the head of a typical American family, who has to provide for his loved ones in the face of an incoming nuclear war. The game starts 60 seconds before the first explosion, giving you one minute to get to a shelter while grabbing the most essential provisions on the way.

The player's task here is to defend the kingdom against various fantasy creatures. In order to do that, the player builds different defensive structures on their path, sends military units to fight them, but also uses many different spells.

In terms of the plot, Kingdom Rush Origins is a prequel to the entire story presented in the series, set before the evil Vez'nan posed a threat to the country of the elves. The player's goal is to stop the evildoer by leading the armies through new locations: elven forests, magical kingdoms and ruins of an ancient metropolis.
