Worms Reinforcements is an official expansion to Worms, a turn-based strategy and arcade game by Andy Davidson and Team 17 Software, released on PC. The expansion is also known as Worms Plus (the game shows its logo with a small yellow "+"), and it requires the original version of the game (floppy disk or CD version) to work.
Mechanics
In terms of mechanics, Worms Reinforcements introduces several modifications to the gameplay - some of them include the option to choose the worm you want to control in a given turn, the option to surrender, as well as small modifications to the user interface. The most important novelty of the expansion is the completely new single-player campaign.
Game modes
Just like the orignal game, Worms Reinforcements also allows you to play in single-player mode (you face an AI-controlled team), as well as in a multiplayer mode with up to 16 players (the game can be played on a shared screen or over the Internet).
Technical aspects
In terms of graphics, Worms Reinforcements, released on PC, does not introduce any changes to the original game, if you do not count a completely new - but equally humorous - intro. An absolute novelty, however, is the ability to create your own levels, as well as add your own sound files to the game.
