Until Team 17 produced the Worms game, Scorched Earth was the most popular "simulator for making holes in the ground". Before starting the game, we can determine the number of players and computer opponents (to choose from several difficulty levels). The competition takes place on randomly generated terrain. The player's task is to determine the strength and trajectory of the missiles in such a way as to get rid of all competitors as soon as possible. After the round is completed, we receive a certain amount of money that can be spent on new, more destructive weapons.
Although the game does not shock with its beautiful audio-visual setting, it used to be extremely popular. This was due to several factors. First of all, a wealth of options with which we can change almost everything from wind power to gravity. Secondly, the huge amount of weapons that can be bought in the break between rounds. Thirdly, great playability, resulting from simple rules of play, intuitive interface and the ability to take part in the struggle of up to ten people.
