Worms 2 is the sequel to the popular turn-based strategy game, Worms, in which groups of worms armed to the teeth fight each other. The player commands such a group on a randomly generated 2D terrain with the task of eliminating the enemy forces. The gameplay is turn-based and the time to issue commands is limited. Each worm-platoon has a huge arsenal of deadly weapons and special tools at its disposal that can be used in each turn. The weaponry may be freely configured before each game.

The changes in Worms 2 are focused mostly on multiplayer mode, in which up to six players may compete against each other via LAN or the Internet. The graphics were also significantly improved. The gameplay is accompanied by 16-bit soundtrack with a “jukebox”, thanks to which we may switch tunes at any time. Apart from that, there are lots of new weapons, tunnel digging skill, extra weapon capabilities, weapon property edition, voice editor, new single player missions, completely new levels, enhanced combat interface, new video sequences, graphic special effects (smoke and fire) and much more, all of which makes the overall gameplay experience better.
