Unrecord PC

Unrecord is a tactical FPS in which we play as a police officer. It was developed by an independent studio DRAMA.

Plot

The story of Unrecord is framed as a detective thriller, being full of twists and turns. The game's playable character is a police officer tasked with investigating several cases. He must face numerous opponents and make difficult decisions.

Mechanics

Unrecord makes use of the first-person perspective (FPP). The player traverses various locations and dispatches enemies with a handfun, occasionally talking to them (some enemies surrender, letting us extract valuable information) and making various, often difficult choices.

Unlike in most FPS games, the events are shown not from the playable character's eyes, but his bodycam. The player can also aim weapons freely, regardless of where they're currently looking; this can be advantageous when leaning out from behind cover. The game is difficult, and charging out into the open leads to a quick death... though we'll die plenty even when playing the way we're supposed to.

Technical aspects

Unrecord runs on the Unreal Engine 5, boasting incredibly realistic visuals. The location designs (especially building interiors) and character animations are especially impressive. The project resembles authentic police body cam footage thanks to the use of different filters and effects, such as vignette or grain.
