The Pegasus Dream Tour Description
The Pegasus Dream Tour is an MMORPG about sports and disability. It is the first official game of the International Paralympic Committee. It was developed and published by JP Games, the studio set up by the director of Final Fantasy XV, Hajime Tabata. The aim of creating the game was to promote Paralympic sport in connection with the start of the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo.
Plot
The Pegasus Dream Tour is set in the fictional, idealised metropolis of Pegasus City, where some people have superhuman abilities called Xtra Power.
Mechanics
In The Pegasus Dream Tour we start the game by creating our own avatar, the so-called Mine. What's interesting, our character's apperance is based on photos taken by the phone's camera. Then we gradually develop the character's skills, training him as a para athlete in Pegasus City.
Players can explore the open world and take part in various types of trainings, workouts and competitions. We have a wide range of sports at our disposal, such as boccia, football, gymnastics or basketball. We can also equip our character with various equipment such as prosthesis or wheelchairs.
What is interesting, in the metropolis which is the game world you will be able to meet, talk to and compete with nine famous para athletes.
Game modes
In The Pegasus Dream Tour we can play only with other players. The core of the game is an online multiplayer mode.
Technical aspects
The Pegasus Dream Tour has a rather simple, 3D graphic design. Particularly noteworthy here are character designs created by a Japanese artist known as GODTAIL. He created avatars of already mentioned, nine famous para players, basing on their real apperance.
Other information
Part of the revenue from the sale of virtual items in The Pegasus Dream Tour will go to the Agitos Foundation, a leading entity dedicated to creating sporting activities for people with disabilities.
