Touchdown Hero

Touchdown Hero, released on AND, WP and iOS, is an arcade game combining endless runner mechanics with elements of American football. The production was developed by Cherry Pick Games studio in Warsaw, the developers of Rollimals or My Hospital.

Mechanics

In Touchdown Hero, we get the opportunity to play as an American football player taking part in a very unusual match. As befits an endless runner, an athlete controlled by us rushes automatically through the pitch with the ball in his hands. Of course, at the same time, the opposing team tries to stop him - our task is to use gestures to manipulate our hero so he can avoid contact with rivals. Besides changing the position, we can also repel opponents, perform rotations that make it difficult to catch the character and use feints.

The goal of the game is, of course, to get a touchdown. Initially, in order to achieve them, it is enough to bypass a few enemies. But with each subsequent match, the distance we have to cover to reach the next one is increased. According to the rules of endless runners, a full win is not possible. Sooner or later, even the best players will make a mistake and fail a match. All the fun comes down to trying to beat ours and others' scorer. The latter is possible thanks to regularly updated online rankings, which allow for comparison of our achievements with the results of the rest of the community.

Touchdown Hero also encourages you to continue playing by rewarding victories with many different costumes, from those resembling the outfits of official teams to more fantastical ones, such as an outfit reminiscent of that worn by Superman.

Technical aspects

Touchdown Hero uses nice graphics made in a retro style full of large pixels.
