In Space Engineers 2 we construct ships and space station in the newly discovered Almagest system. The second game offers a brand new story campaign, as well as more user friendly interface and underwater bases.

Space Engineers 2 is a sequel to the sandbox simulation game set in outer space, created by Keen Software House studio. This developer was responsible for the first part and the similar Medieval Engineers. The game offers a story campaign and more accessible controls compared to the original.

Story

In Space Engineers 2 we travel to the distant Almagest, a newly discovered, mysterious planetary system, which awaits its first colonizers. Over time, factions uncovering ancient secrets are formed within it.

Gameplay

As engineers, we build ships and space stations and colonize uninhabited planets of the Almagest system. Using various tools, we execute precisely planned constructions, connecting blocks together. Thanks to the automatic activation of the jetpack, we don't have to worry about falling off the platform or asteroid. Constructing things is also facilitated by assigning elements to the toolbar and the ability to copy them and undo actions.

Compared to its predecessor, Space Engineers 2 allows for traversing oceans, rivers and lakes, as well as building underwater bases and designing boats or submarines for deep-sea exploration.

The biggest novelty is the story campaign, in which we perform quests for characters belonging to various factions, conduct trade, explore ancient secrets, and finally engage in battles with space ships controlled by artificial intelligence.
