Space Engineers 2

Space Engineers 2 is the sequel to a sandbox simulation game set in space, developed by Keen Software House, the studio responsible for the first part and the similar Medieval Engineers. The title offers a story campaign and more accessible controls relative to the original.

Storyline

In Space Engineers 2 , players travel to the distant Almagest, a newly discovered, mysterious planetary system that awaits the first colonizers. Over time, factions form there to uncover ancient mysteries.

Gameplay

As engineers, we build ships and space stations and colonize uninhabited planets of the Almagest system. With the help of various tools, we make the planned constructions with precision, connecting the blocks together. Thanks to the automatic activation of the jetpack, we don't have to worry about falling off a platform or asteroid. Construction is also made easier by assigning elements to the toolbar and the ability to copy and undo actions.

Compared to its predecessor, Space Engineers 2 lets you traverse oceans, rivers and lakes, as well as set up underwater bases and design boats or submarines for deep-sea exploration.

The biggest novelty, however, is the story-driven campaign, in which we perform tasks for NPCs belonging to different factions, conduct trade, explore ancient secrets and finally engage in battle with AI-controlled spaceships.

Game modes

In Space Engineers 2 we can undertake free construction in creative mode or explore the story in the story campaign.
