Shatterline PC

Shatterline is an online FPS developed by the independent Ukrainian studio Frag Lab. The game is free-to-play and contains micropayments.

Plot

Shatterline is set in 2028. The Earth is being gradually consumed by the Crystalline, a massive planet-eating superorganism which horrifyingly mutates the creatures inhabiting the worlds it preys upon. A fanatical cult known as Strafe Witnesses considers this attack an opportunity to evolve beyond human limits. They are opposed by Shellguard, an organization created from the lucky few genetically immune to the Crystalline.

Mechanics

The gameplay of Shatterline is shown from the first-person perspective (FPP). The player can choose from a number of characters known as operators. In addittion to each operator's individual skills and strengths, there are also plenty of weapons to use. Progressing lets us upgrade our playable characters as well as our guns (which can be modified with various add-ons), letting us face greater challenges.

Game modes

There are a variety of modes to choose from in Shatterline. One of them is Expedition, a co-op mode with roguelike elements, in which we join other players to complete objectives, fight Crystalline mutants and uncover the game's story. There are also several PvP modes available, such as Team Deathmatch, Conquest, Plant-the-Bomb and Escort.

Technical aspects

The visuals of Shatterline are decent. The designs of locations, weapons and enemies are well-made and appealing.
