Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked focuses solely on single player content, drawing inspiration from the cult adventure novels, such as Robinson Crusoe. However, these were enriched with fantasy elements and a unique sense of humor.

The fun takes place in a galaxy that teems with life, recreated in 1:1 scale on the basis of genuine astronomical data.

Players are taken to a vast, open world where they have only one goal - survival. To do so, they hunt and gather resources in order to build bases and fortresses that make it easier to defend themselves against other players and AI-controlled monsters.
