Minecraft: Education Edition Description
Minecraft: Education Edition for PC is a special release of Minecraft. The title is adjusted for education purposes offering a variety of utilities for students and teachers, such as improved maps with coordinates, an option of import and export of the worlds or enhanced multiplayer for 40 players. The game gives the teachers an opportunity for passing their knowledge in an entertaining way – be it physics, mathematics or foreign languages. Additionally, students learn how to cooperate and communicate. Minecraft: Education Edition debuted in 2011 as MinecraftEdu. In 2016 Microsoft secured the rights to the title and now it is improved by the collaboration of two creators of the original – Joel Levin and Santeri Koivisto. The game is available exclusively for schools, museums, libraries, and other institutions of educational or cultural nature. To use this software a special license has to be bought, so regular players will not be able to enjoy Minecraft: Education Edition.
Gameplay
Minecraft: Education Edition for PC is basically the core title with some changes. This is still a survival game in which you collect materials and erect constructions – gameplay does not differ from the original Minecraft. The procedurally generated world is composed of 3D cubes, and during exploration you find more kinds of materials that are necessary for crafting different tools with which you can carry out more and more complex and sophisticated projects. Minecraft: Education Edition has all of this, plus many utilities and options that allow for saving students’ works, creating their virtual portfolios, personalizing profiles etc.
