A dark fantasy cRPG developed by debuting studio Red Hook. The story is set in a dark, medieval-like universe. While exploring ruins of an old castle and its dungeons, you face off against forces of darkness that overwhelmed the land because of the reckless actions of its previous sovereign. As you delve into the depths, you discover the dark history of a family who brought the evil upon the world. The gameplay focuses on dungeon crawling - dungeons filled with traps and crawling with monsters that need to be dealt with during turn-based combat sequences. An original idea is the sanity indicator of your heroes. Each team member has different personality and reacts differently to what is happening around him/her. Therefore, while playing you should keep an eye on their well being and fear levels, alleviating their stress by drinking alcohol or brawling, if needed.

Inspired by the Nordic mythology, a cRPG developed by the independent studio Stoic, whose members worked on, for example, Star Wars: The Old Republic. The action takes us to a world where fratricidal bloodshed between the gods led to chaos and wars. This is an "on the road" type of story, divided into two main plot branches, telling the stories of two Viking parties trying to escape from the threat posed by a mysterious, stone-like race called the Dredge, born as the result of gods’ experiments. Set in fantasy realities, the gameplay combines adventure and RPG elements with a turn-based combat system. With game's progress, your party gains experience and becomes more and more powerful. Also, the decisions you make will exert heavy influence on the plot. The game features amazing 2D graphics, employing art style similar to that of Walt Disney productions.

Child of Light is a 2D RPG that combines the elements of modern platformers and Japanese role-playing games. It was developed by Ubisoft Montreal, a subsidiary of Ubisoft which also collaborated in the development of Far Cry and Assassin Creed games. Child of Light tells the story of Aurora, a young girl who has to save the kingdom of Lemuria. When playing, we influence Aurora's development and witness her rough journey to adulthood. The game is presented in a perspective typical for platform games, and the turn-based combat system is inspired by the jRPG genre. During her adventures, Aurora explores a vast, living world, where she encounters friendly fairies, gnomes, and sneaky monsters. Child of Light offers single player and multiplayer modes. In the latter, the second player takes on the role of a friendly firefly.

A fantasy turn-based jRPG developed by Hong Kong studio SideQuest Studios. The protagonist is a young man, who, during a fight with his arch-enemy, is transported via a special portal to Rainbow Moon, which is being terrorized by monsters. His task is to gain the trust of the world's inhabitants, save Rainbow Moon, and return home. In terms of mechanics, the game is based on classic jRPG productions. The game features an isometric point of view, and turn-based combat takes place on separate arenas divided into fields. Apart from the main story campaign, there are also many side quests to complete and dungeons to explore. Additional features include a multitude of weapons, a wide range of spells, and equipment you can mod with the items you find.

A hilarious cRPG with cartoonish graphics, developed by an independent Canadian studio - Eden Industries. The player assumes the role of the world's vice-president. Having won the elections, the protagonist returns to their hometown and discovers that the neighbouring forests are filled with bizzare creatures that came into being as a result of mysterious genetic experiments. With help of the local community, the politician decides to discover who is behind all of this and tries to stop the madness. The player can recruit practically every character they encounter - among them, one will find bakers, teachers, homeless or waiters. Such characters will be gaining experience throughout the game, and once the player decides to exclude them from their team, they return to their posts in order to provide the player with better shops, as well as new, useful items. This system encourages the player to experiment and to regularly replace particular team-members, especially because the main story is relatively short.

An independent retro RPG, which combines elements of a detective game and a horror. The main protagonist of Pixel Noir is trying to solve a mystery of the tragic events from a decade ago when his partner died, leading to him quitting work as a police officer, as he unjustly was sentenced to jail. After being released, he begins to work as a private detective and tries to solve minor cases, until finally, he finds a lead that might help him get the answers that have been taunting him for years. As befits a true RPG, in Pixel Noir, the players get to explore numerous locations, interact with NPCs, find clues, collect valuable items, and fight enemies. Combat is turn-based, nonetheless, it features certain arcade elements. The main protagonist is accompanied by other characters, each one exhibiting unique skills and utilized weapons. Pixel Noir delivers neutral and grim pixel-art visuals.

A tactical turn-based jRPG with surprising plot. The game was developed by Altair Works. The player leads an uprising of slimes that usually serve as a cannon fodder in such games. Decimated creatures discovered that they can control human bodies and they intend to take advantage of this ability. The gameplay in Ambition of the Slimes focuses on turn-based battles that take place on a tactical map. The fights are strongly unusual due to the abilities of the slimes. The control over human warriors can work in various ways – some slimes increase the statistics of the bodies they control, other are able to teleport or take over even the strongest foes. This makes the battles very varied and frequently requiring a tactical approach.

The first expansion for the 2016 dungeon crawler RPG Darkest Dungeon by Red Hook Studios. The add-on utilizes the gameplay mechanics from the core game — you complete a team of heroes and set out to explore the eponymous Darkest Dungeon. Your goal is to find enormous riches, with which you can expand a shabby hamlet, also serving as your base. Like in the original Darkest Dungeon game, the characters of The Crimson Court suffer from typical human ailments — some of them may go berserk, while others may panic when surrounded by darkness. The game places a strong focus on blood, which is a theme connecting the items you find and your enemies. The expansion also marks the first appearance of vampires, creatures with a unique set of characteristics and abilities.

Cosmic Star Heroine is an RPG game developed by a small studio called Zeboyd Games. We take on the role of Alyssa L'Salle, one of the galactic government's best agents. Ever since her identity was compromised, she became a point of interest to many organizations she rubbed the wrong way in the past. Our job will be to find the reason behind those events and to unravel a galactic conspiracy Alyssa was unaware of before. Gameplay in Cosmic Star Heroine focuses on exploration and combat. During the turn-based battles we will use a rather unique weapon: a rod that can generate force fields and turn into a rifle. Talking with NPCs and modifying our headquarters also plays an important role in the game. Additionally, Alyssa can recruit agents that will accompany her in her adventures. Cosmic Star Heroine is powered by Unity technology and has 2D pixel-art visuals.
