A hilarious cRPG with cartoonish graphics, developed by an independent Canadian studio - Eden Industries. The player assumes the role of the world's vice-president. Having won the elections, the protagonist returns to their hometown and discovers that the neighbouring forests are filled with bizzare creatures that came into being as a result of mysterious genetic experiments.
Citizens of Earth for PC, WiiU and etc. is a hilarious RPG with cartoonish graphics, developed by an independent studio Eden Industries – a team popular mainly for a successful logic game called Waveform.
Plot
The player assumes the role of the world's vice-president. The story begins when after their victory in the elections, they return to their small hometown. It soon turns out that someone has filled the neighbouring forests with the results of strange genetic experiments. Among the creatures terrorizing the inhabitants, one will find such bizzare beings as a bear made of honey, or an eagle with curly blond hair. As the chosen representative of the people, the protagonist has to discover who is behind all of this and stop this entire madness – however, the vice-president will not be able to fulfill these goals on their own – instead, they will have to be helped by the locals.
Gameplay
Interestingly, Citizens of Earth gives an opportunity to recruit every character encountered. As a result, the player's team will comprise mainly bakers, teachers, the homeless, or waiters. During the adventure, all those characters will be gaining experience points that will make them both more dangerous in combat and more effective while performing tasks related to their professions. Consequently, when the player excludes a character from their team, this particular character returns to their post in order to help improving the whole town. This leads to the player obtaining better shops, additional data, or new special items.
Citizens of Earth for PC, WiiU and etc. encourages the players to experiment with this entire system and to regularly replace one's team-members. The main story is relatively short here and delivers the player with about 10 hours of play. Simultaneously, the game world is filled with optional side quests, so one can spend much more time in the game.

Citizens of Earth feels like a game that's meant to be played with a walkthrough guide nearby, which is also reminiscent of a classic RPG-adventure experience, but not one that is necessarily enjoyable all the time. That being said, Citizens of Earth does provide an fun retro experience. It just has trouble keeping things interesting during the long trip around the world.
