Cosmic Star Heroine is an RPG game developed by a small studio called Zeboyd Games. We take on the role of Alyssa L'Salle, one of the galactic government's best agents. Ever since her identity was compromised, she became a point of interest to many organizations she rubbed the wrong way in the past. Our job will be to find the reason behind those events and to unravel a galactic conspiracy Alyssa was unaware of before.

Cosmic Star Heroine for PC, PSV and PS4 is a sci-fi RPG developed by Zeboyd Games, creators of many niche titles. The two-person developer team is responsible for games like Breath of Death VII: The Beginning, Cthulu Saves the World, and the third and fourth episode of Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.

The Plot

In Cosmic Star Heroine for PC, PSV and PS4 we take the role of Alyssa L’Salle, one of the best secret agents of the galactic government, who many times saved the universe from doom. Once she discovers a dark conspiracy, she is publicly accused of being a legendary spy. Ever since her identity was revealed to the world, she became the point of interest of many organizations she got under the skin of in the past. She has to face the new problems and figure out why the government revealed her true identity.

Mechanics

Cosmic Star Heroine for PC, PSV and PS4 is an RPG. We will explore more and more locations and fight with the encountered enemies. Our opponents can freely move around the locations, so if we decide to run, they might chase us. Turn-based battles take place on the same map as exploration. When desiging the combat mechanics, the developers combined the ideas from their previous games and took inspiration from the classic games of the genre. While in combat, Alyssa uses a rather unique weapon: a rod that generates force field and can turn into a rifle.

Misc.

Of course, battles are not the only important thing in Cosmic Star Heroine. The story, which we progress through conversations with characters we meet throughout the game, plays a crucial role in the game. We can recruit additional agents and modify our headquarters, just like in the Suikoden series. Cosmic Star Heroine uses Unity engine, a technology very popular among the indie developers. The game features enjoyable, 2D pixelart visuals.
