The third installment in the FPS series by Polish studio, Techland. This time the game’s setting was shifted to modern times, and the story is focused on the struggle with the eponymous drug cartel. The players control a special team that was established to solve the problem of cartel bosses. The team consists of Kim Evans, Eddie Guerra and Ben McCall – a descendant of Ray McCall. The game’s foundation is, again, the story campaign, which can be played either solo or in cooperation.

The player plays the role of a member of the elite Task Force 121, whose task is to fight terrorism. A sequel to a well-received FPS game developed by Volition. Red Faction II is set five years after the events depicted in the original game, when a civil war breaks out in the Commonwealth. The player assumes the role of Alias - an explosives expert belonging to a team of six super nanosoldiers. The protagonist joins a rebellion against Victor Sopot's totalitarian regime. In terms of mechanics, Red Faction II expands the patterns introduced in the first installment.

The player takes on the role of commander of a unit of well-trained soldiers of the SAS unit and takes part in dangerous anti-terrorist missions. The creators put a lot of emphasis on the realism of the game, in which the consultants employed in the production of the game - former members of anti-terrorist groups - played a significant role.

However, the creators did not strengthen historical realism and introduced supernatural elements, thanks to which we fight against demons, vampires and zombies. The game is based on joyful combat and fun consists mainly in clashes with large groups of enemies.
