MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries is another installment in the series of tactical-simulation action games, MechWarrior. We dive into the world of Battle Tech yet again, this time around as a mercenary working for money, and fight using 100-ton battle robots armed with all kinds of weapons known from the previous games in the series, as well as some new ones, such as Rotary Autocannon. The player, as a freelancer, may lead his very own mercenary band, freely buy and upgrade his mechs, hire pilots, take lucrative jobs, and even cooperate with famous mercenary organizations, such as Wolf’s Dragoons, Northwind Highlanders, Kell Hound and Gray Death Legion. The single player mode offers a campaign with a complex story, full of intrigue, betrayal and power struggle, that makes the player feel like a puppet, a tool to be used by those in power.
