Order of Battle: Allies Victorious

Order of Battle: Allies Victorious is the seventeenth expansion for the turn-based strategy title Order of Battle: World War II, released in 2015. The DLC is also the culmination of a trilogy of add-ons dedicated to Allied operations during World War II, which was initiated by the add-on Allies Defiant. It was developed by the authors of the basic version of the game, The Artistocrats studio, and published by Slitherine.

Plot

The plot of Order of Battle: Allies Victorious takes place over the course of 1944 and 1945. The add-on begins with Operation Overlord, the famous landing of Allied troops in Normandy. After paving the way to Paris and liberating the French capital, we move to the Netherlands, and after a massive air attack, carried out as part of Operation Market Garden, we end up in Belgium, trying to take over the port of Antwerp, an important supply hub for the Wehrmacht. Further on, we have no choice but to push east and fight a battle with the Germans for control of an industrial center in the Ruhr Valley. The campaign culminates with an encounter with the Red Army on the Elbe River.

Game mechanics

Like previous expansions, Order of Battle: Allies Victorious makes no changes to the mechanics. Instead, new content has been prepared for the expansion, with fourteen extended scenarios devoted to the Allies' recent actions in Europe taking the lead. In addition, the authors have developed new units for both the Allies and the Axis powers, as well as several new Allied commanders.

Game modes

Order of Battle: Allies Victorious can be played in single player or multiplayer hot seat and PBEM++ modes.

Order of Battle: Allies Victorious requires the base game version of Order of Battle: WWII to work.
