Allies Resurgent is the sixteenth expansion for the turn-based strategy game released in 2015 under the title Order of Battle: World War II, and at the same time the second part of the trilogy of add-ons dedicated to the Allied actions on the fronts of World War II, started by the add-on Allies Defiant. The DLC was developed by the original authors, The Artistocrats studio, and published by Slitherine, a company specializing in this genre.

Plot

The action of Order of Battle: Allies Resurgent takes place in the years 1942-1944. The story campaign opens with Operation Torch, during which American troops began military operations in North Africa. Next, the add-on allows us to take part in the British-American forces' assault on Tunisia and make an Allied landing on Sicily. The add-on culminates with the invasion on Italy and the capture of Rome.

Mechanics

Order of Battle: Allies Resurgent doesn't provide any changes in game mechanics. Instead, the developers focused on introducing new content. The add-on offers twelve expanded scenarios and eleven new units. We are talking about British Lancaster bombers, French DD Bourrasque and DD L'Adroit destroyers, Italian Regiane Re 2002 fighter-bombers, American M3 ScoutCar armored vehicles and L4 Grasshopper surveillance planes or Canadian C15 TA armored trucks.
