New Blood RPG Description
New Blood Interactive company gained recognition thanks to its retro-style productions. We are talking primarily about games such as DUSK, Amid Evil, Ultrakill and Gloomwood, which referred to the classics, but did not directly copy any of them. In 2021, it was announced that an untitled RPG would join this group, inspired by the first two installments of the Fallout series.
Creators
The project, which can be tentatively called New Blood RPG, was overseen by:
- Adam Lacko – founder of Project Van Buren, whose goal was to recreate the canceled Fallout 3 from Black Isle studio.
- Alexander Berezin - responsible for the visuals and having in his portfolio mods for Fallout 2, titled Olympus 2207 and Sonora.
- Mark Morgan – composer whose credits include music for the first and second Fallout, Planescape: Torment, and the second and third Wasteland.
Gameplay
The game takes us to a retrofuturistic universe. Even though during exploration we watch the action in an isometric view, once the fight begins, the camera changes perspective to first-person (FPP). Due to the fact that battles are turn-based, the combat system may remind us of classic dungeon crawlers.
