Enthusiasts are Preparing a Fallout-like Retro-RPG
We've learned who's working on New Blood Interactive's isometric retro RPG. The team includes the composer of the music for Fallout and veterans of the series' modding community.
A year ago, during the PC Gaming Show 2021, New Blood Interactive aired a short teaser with unannounced projects. One of them was an isometric RPG, inspired by the first two parts of Fallout. Now we have learned a little bit more about this production. It turns out that many people well known to the game's fan community are involved in the works on it.
- The main designer is Adam Lacko, the founder of Project Van Buren, which aims to recreate the canceled version of Fallout 3 from Black Isle.
- Alexander Berezin is responsible for the visual side of the project, he's the artist behind the popular mods Olympus 2207 and Sonora for Fallout 2.
- The music will be composed by Mark Morgan, the author of soundtracks for such games as Fallout, Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Wastelands 2 or Wastelands 3.
The game is to be maintained in a retrofuturistic atmosphere. New Blood Interactive CEO Dave Oshry describes the game as his "dream project."
The game has no official title yet. It is at an early stage of work, so it will be a long time before we can play it. However, it is worth waiting for this project, because New Blood Interactive has a great reputation when it comes to creating spiritual heirs to old hits, which are more than just clones of popular positions from years ago. Just to name a few we have DUSK, Amid Evil or the upcoming Gloomwood.
It is worth mentioning that New Blood Interactve is working on two more unannounced projects. One of them is a car battle game in the style of Twisted Metal and the other is a bird's eye view shooter featuring characters from all of the publisher's most popular titles.
