NBA 2K24

NBA 2K24 is the twenty-fifth installment of the bestselling series of basketball games officially licensed by NBA. It was developed by Visual Concepts, like the rest of the series, and published by 2K Sports.

Mechanics

NBA 2K24 doesn't revolutionize the series' mechanics. Once again, the game revolves around basketball matches. Since the game is officially licensed, it features real teams and players, both current athletes and the all-time greats, such as Kobe Bryant. Players can lead one of the real teams to victory or create their own team made up of one's favorite NBA stars.

Game modes

NBA 2K24 features singleplayer, as well as online and local multiplayer. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S also support cross-platform gameplay.

The available game modes include: MyTEAM (in which we create our dream team), MyPLAYER (in which we create our own player) and MyCAREER (in which we play as a sportsman climbing the global basketball ranks). The latter mode differs in setting depending on platform. On the PC and eighth generation consoles players will visit a seaside district, while on the ninth generation consoles they'll visit an entire tropical city. Worth mentioning are also modes PLAY NOW (in which we can play as our favorite NBA and WNBA teams) and Mamba Moments, special challenges recreating the most important moments of Kobe Bryant's career.

Technical aspects

Similarly to the previous installments, NBA 2K24 features state-of-the-art visuals. The ninth generation version uses proPLAY technology, which analyzes NBA video material and results in even more realistic animations and movements.
